Roberto Mancini: Remembering UEFA EURO 2020

Roberto Mancini has stepped down as Italy coach to end his five years in charge, leaving the Azzurri as reigning European champions after masterminding their triumph at UEFA EURO 2020.

More recently, the 58-year-old was unsuccessful in helping Italy qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, while they also lost 3-0 to Argentina in the Finalissima last year and finished third at the 2023 UEFA Nations League finals this June.

Are EURO 2024 tickets on general sale?

Yes, ticket applications for UEFA EURO 2024 started on 3 October 2023, with this initial window open until Thursday 26 October 2023. The start of the ticket application phase was announced by EURO 2024 tournament director Philipp Lahm and tournament ambassador Celia Šašić in Hamburg at festivities on Germany Unity Day.

Germany will host EURO 2024, having been chosen to stage the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship at a UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Nyon on 27 September 2018. Turkey was the only other nation that bid to hold UEFA EURO 2024. West Germany hosted the 1988 edition, but this will be the first time Germany has staged the UEFA European Championship since reunification. The 2006 FIFA World Cup also took place in the country.
